What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy includes discussion and Hypnosis. Hypnosis relaxes your body and your mind becomes more alert so that you can find the real cause inhibiting your success and make the necessary changes.

The wonderful thing about your mind is that the right answer is there and hypnosis empowers you to find it.

What does hypnosis feel like?
In physical terms, hypnosis is a relaxed body and an alert mind. Have you ever noticed when waking up in the morning, your mind is awake but your body is still asleep, and if someone spoke, you could respond immediately, this is how you might feel when hypnotised. You are fully aware of what is happening when hypnotised and you only respond in the way that is appropriate for you.

Thérése Hackett's Hypnotherapy training was based on the teachings of Milton Erickson, MD. He had polio as a child and learned to walk at 18 years old by modelling his baby sister. He died in the 1980's.
Milton Erickson is considered the most important influence on modern hypnotherapy.

He was the founder of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and is widely acknowledged as one of the most successful hypnotherapists.
